William started off as the boring, homely brother-in-law but turned into someone completely different due to his time in the park with in the first series. he was the driving force behind convincing Delos to invest in Westworld, and this season we have seen how he managed to persuade him. As mentioned below, it was made clear in season one that Wiliam was the man in black and that there were two time lines. Obviously there are at least three time lines presently, possible more.

I think it's been known since sometime during season 1 that William was The man in Black as a young man!

It got very intriguing and even more confusing all in one episode.
William is also the Man in Black. However, when we first saw him he was just some SCHMO who had been dragged along by his 'devil may care' brother-in- law.
Now it turns out he was one of the original PLAYERS in the whole thing?
Did I miss something?

Peter Mullen’s popping up in a lot of big American tv shows great actor.
I feel there’s going to be a good little twist regarding his role in the bank rolling of the park and what he’s getting out of it!

Let’s get a few facts straight here, be rational and let this be the last;
I studied at the BFI and unless someone else on this thread has done the same or the equivalent hen they should accept I’m more qualified to judge.
I said I thought the continuity of this series was poor and in places badly edited. In the end of course all is the responsibility of the director but to say the quality of crew has no bearing on the finished article would be churlish.
A poster who I can’t be bothered to read back who it was said it was good just because of a few nicely shot cinematography. I agree there are but this on it’s own doesn’t make it a great series.
Now you’ve all been put in place and this really isn’t an excuse for you sad stalkers to have a “Swiss bash” session because you like to join the group. Pathetic.
